After school funding for staff? (Standard way for students to get bus tokens?) School advocates and supports healthy alternate transportation such as walking & biking to school.
Who else is on this committee? Is anyone available to meet Tuesday morning (6/29)? I have an appointment until about 9:30, but can meet anytime after that.
ReplyDeleteTuesday morning is fine with me. I have a meeting with Physical Space on Tuesday at 1pm. So, anytime before 1pm is fine with me.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to say 10:30 or 11am in the LMC on Tuesday that would be great, we can meet for two hours and get the committee rolling.

Teddi Barra from the bus company was invited to speak to the group regarding a late bus for WCHS The late bus request is due to students being unable to find tokens, sports, after school clubs, after school help with teachers etc... The bus company can provide 2-3 busses at 4:30pm ( # of busses can be changed arrording to needs) There will designated neighborhood drop off sites-( routes to be posted in atrium) special needs students can also receive late busses with 24 hour notice to the bus company A liaison from WCHS to the bus company has been requested
How is moving to the House structure going to affect lockers? Houses may help to eliminate some locker issues
Is it possible for colors, names of houses to be student decided? Doesn’t know what committee to send it Different houses, different color id’s Students need to take “pride” in their house Transfer students- Split them up as they came in or one small house that would take newcomers- two proposals. Concensus Even distribution of incoming students (transfer students) In-school transfers- case by case basis Counselors to be more involved in teachers scheduled meetings, to understand students behaviors, teachers courses. Autonomy in Houses Team building first two weeks of year??? To solidify things PD for Sheila- we should propose it to Sheila- House needs for PD
